Revolutionary women, radical care.
Politicized and liberatory counseling and coaching to help Black, Indigenous, Women of Color and their allies break free from self-doubt, burnout, internalized oppression, and cultural stress.
Hey, I’m Briana!
I offer counseling and coaching to help women of color, activists, healers, educators, organizers, artists, and care workers break free from burnout, self-doubt, and internalized oppression, heal the wounds of historical and generational trauma, and navigate the social, political, and cultural stress of our times.
Working from liberation psychology, abolitionist, ecowomanist philosophy that centers Black, Indigenous, Women of Color, my approach to care is deeply relational, narrative (meaning you get to tell your/your people’s story), and fiercely rooted in social justice. This is not your typical therapy session—this work is political, anti-colonial, and intended for women who are interested in deep healing, learning, and unlearning work to untangle the ways racism, ableism, assimilation, erasure, and supremacy culture impact how you see yourself and how you relate to the world around you. Here is a radical space to uproot harmful beliefs and stories, release yourself from cultural and societal expectations, build the courage to challenge oppressive systems, and deepen your commitment to the struggle for collective liberation. My offerings weave over a decade of providing therapy, advocacy, education, coaching, and mentorship.
Who We Work With
Revolutionary Women’s Wellness is explicitly focused on folks who are underrepresented and underserved by mainstream mental health care. We prioritize care for:
Black, Indigenous, Women of Color and allies interested in politicized work
Activists, educators, organizers, therapists, healthcare professionals, creatives, cycle breakers and change makers on the frontlines in their communities
Folks who are interested in anti-oppressive, decolonized therapy different from mainstream, capitalist, colonial approaches to mental health care and wellness
In our work together, we can explore:
Releasing harmful internalized beliefs rooted in racism, supremacy culture, and oppression that rob you of your sense of self-worth, acceptance, and cultural pride
Disrupting self-doubt, respectability, self censorship, shame, toxic professionalism, and perfectionism
Recovering from burnout, compassion fatigue, moral injury, identity loss, impostor syndrome, and role strain
Breaking cycles of generational and historical trauma, assimilation, cultural disconnection, and erasure
Unlearning colonial, carceral, exploitative, and extractive ways of relating to yourself and the world
Breaking out of hyper-independence and isolation, building aligned community and sense of belonging
Disrupting the cycle of hustle and manufactured urgency to work with more intention and sustainability
Building the courage to speak up and engage in spaces that align with your values and vision of a better world
